Way too many options! What if you found some that matched the pale yellowish color? I think they'd really pop, and would stand out against the darker colors. I completely agree about buttons, with every project that I've had with closures so far, finding the right ones has proven to be a complete PITA. In fact I have one sweater that's been done for almost exactly a year right now, and for lack of the right buttons has never been finished. Sad. I'm still completely loving that sweater though Ruth. It's worth fixing the sleeve cap. yes, you do :) eventually. Have you considered hook and eye style frog clasps or whatever they're called, spanning the sweater front, instead of buttons? In metal or cording?
