Thankful

DSC_0009.jpg

This year, I’m profoundly thankful for my son, James Cormac, who was born at home on Monday, November 24, 2008. He weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces at birth and is 19.5 inches long.

He already makes an excellent knitwear model. We couldn’t be more delighted with him.

Congratulations, he is adorable and looks like a sweetie! My father died years ago on November 24, and it always makes me happy to hear of good things happening on that day - it balances out the universe, I think.

I hope your family has a happy holiday season.

Ruth… I am Ryan and Tina’s mom…. and I love to knit! Your work is just amazing (and so is Baby James!). Ryan and Tina were home this weekend and I got Tina started on a scarf…. though I am an unconventional knitter and I probably have ruined her for life.

Do you have any basic instructions for the baby hats? I love to make them… but need some size info. I love the way that you ad lib and create such fun patterns. Hope to see you the next time I’m in the Bay.
